Ken Starr has had extensive mediation, arbitration and trial practice experience in many areas of civil practice, including business, construction, labor & employment, and various types of tort cases. The first part of his career was spent as a litigator defending insurance-related cases in federal and state courts. He has extensive experience trying personal injury cases, involving everything from soft tissue complaints to catastrophic spinal cord and closed head injuries to death. He also is an experienced personal and commercial property attorney, having tried cases involving total fire losses, storm and wind damage, business interruption and lost profits. He has authored numerous opinion letters concerning the existence (or lack thereof) of insurance coverage on both personal and commercial claims. Over the last several years of his litigation work he focused his practice on employment law, product and professional liability claims. He is currently a member of the Labor & Employment and City, County & Local Government Sections of The Florida Bar.
